it's not going to work against most teams

Meanwhile, after Fears smoked that last layup he is 52/91 (57%) at the rim this season vs 67% league average.

The rookies are promising but tonight was not their night (-24 and -28 in a 5 point loss)

Yes, Pistons fans appear to be desperate to hold on to a non-shooting wing instead of creating a 3 all-star team.

Love for players your team drafted is a powerful thing.

Thanks for explaining to me what trade value means. The team acquiring Young would want him specifically bc his contract is short.

You still aren't understanding me, & it appears you have a very different idea of the relative value of Ball and Morant than I do, so it's best that we stop talking.

Yes, I understood the question. I think you haven't understood my answers.

i am arguing that you would only pay for the half season rental, and you wouldn't want to pay anything at all for the other two. You should want to get paid to take them.

I am factoring in age and current contracts. Ball being locked in on a deal is bad. They're all on bad contracts, and Trae's is the shortest. You don't want to re-sign any of them, so Trae has the most value.

Why would they expend any resources at all for morant or ball, who both don’t play and aren’t very good when they do?
November 21, 2025 at 1:01 AM
trae only has one year left on his deal after this one, so him

at least we are in agreement on Zion

The Pelicans should listen to Trey Murphy offers and they should trade him if the price is right--maximize assets.

The Pelicans should trade Herb Jones period--maximize assets..

The Pelicans should not make a trade for the purpose of 'starting a new era' or some bs like that.

he was eligible for a trade this summer before they gave him the extension and transformed him from a positive to neutral/negative value asset.

I understand at that point they were still under the delusion that they would be competitive, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve criticism for it
November 18, 2025 at 4:12 PM
There's no reason to hold onto these players bc there is no reason to try your hardest (organizationally) to win games this season. You are giving up the high lotto pick no matter what. It's a sunk cost.

The only focus going forward should be asset accumulation and development of the young guys.

Dumars is letting Herb's value disintegrate as well. Playing with inept offensive players is exposing him and the longer this goes his contract will be seen as a negative asset by more and more teams if it isn't already.

I'm sorry that I wrote down some facts and you got upset

good on them for reminding the fan that Draymond Green is a violent and dangerous person who has assaulted multiple people (including a current Pelican) and who the NBA has allowed to intentionally attempt to injure players throughout his career
