the later reports in series give keyed plans of the shipping in harbor and at dock; the big one lower left at what i think is named anchorage #4 is identified in the analysis as kongo-class, later tagged as probably IJN haruna

to go further, looks like canada’s national air photo library has 500+ high resolution aerial photos from 1950 in what looks like either total or near-total coverage with 60% overlap (only shows 50 results at a time). if you wanted to, you could assemble a giant antediluvian manicouagan mosaic

and i was like well, what would have looked like on a topo or a geological map before the deluge; how out of the ordinary would the “two arcuate semicircular lakes” have seemed to a a geologist, a cartographer, lay traveller or someone who lived there
