There's a widespread complaint against "Manichean" leftists splitting the world into good and evil sides of any issue, but there's a substantial observable coalition of the right against social justice and human rights as a principle.

it's not Manichean to notice collaborators collaborating.

I think this is a bit of sexism. Women are seen as either 'youthful' or invisible once they become 'old'. "I can't believe JLo is 50 woah I usually completely ignore 50 year olds" etc.

I am 36 and I look 36. I am the same age as Taylor Swift and Brie Larson and AOC who also look 36.

Friedrich Engels was born 205 years ago today.

We should thank him for helping out his friend Karl Marx — but also for the critique of capitalism he produced in his own right.

you need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of what you did, empathy towards those affected, a resolution if applicable, and an action plan or a reasonable effort to prevent such things from re-occuring in the future.

"oh but they apologized so it's fine!" is NEVER inherently acceptable.

In my early 20s I felt so self conscious that everyone expected me to have everything figured out even though I was doing everything in life for the first time. Now that I am in my 30s, I now understand that nobody has anything figured out and feel way more comfortable admitting I don't know things.
