I think they're a bit special.

I'm not a total "pop music is rubbish now" curmudgeon, there's an occasional pop song I like, but overall I'm not enthused as a rule.

When I hear one of theirs I haven't heard before though, it just tickles my brain.

Currently addicted to Bed Chem.

Spent half an hour looking for the right font and couldn't find it, as is the case for most things pre the 90s, so cobbled it together out of a few and some drawn in bits.

Here it is in Argos, circa 1989. £24 something, bit rich.

I follow too many talented, experienced, creative people who are in this boat, really gets me down nevermind you.

I hope something comes your way that allows you to do something you enjoy and pay the bills. Seems like an alien concept in the creative industries nowadays.

Now those people have mostly retired, BBC VFX is long gone, and people who've worked in sitcoms on sitcom budgets for donkey's years don't exist either because sitcoms have been out of fashion for a decade or more, never mind scifi sitcoms.

Institutional knowledge has gone. All the BBC series cost roughly the same, but they had BBC VFX in house, providing near movie quality motion control model shoots for near naff all...

The boot up is cool but the system themes aren't all that imo. They don't work with the new home screen they only launched a couple of months ago, because the themes cut off the top third of whatever your background is. That anniversary PS4 theme was a banger though, still my theme on PS4 even now.

It's a great way of learning to be less wasteful with your polygons and textures when you're using suboptimal equipment, especially if you're self taught like me.

I try and aim for photorealism, but I've got a 2019 laptop with a 1070. Takes a while, but it'll do it if you optimise where you can.

Very nice, just had a ramble through your timeline. Impressive node wrangling too, I'm still a bit of a novice but I do try to use procedural textures mostly. The satisfaction when you get something right is 👌

And Paul's White Midget and Starbug.

But now it seems like communities are dead, dying, or splintered. Hashtags don't do anything, and accounts are inactive, and it just makes me sad that it's so hard to find people to share an interest with

Sometimes if I haven't made something for a while it aches. I need to create summat even if it's just a bit of background set furniture, but I do like to think that people will see the things I do and get a kick out of it, because that's what I think when I see/ saw other people's fan art
