I didn't know he was coming! It's not on his schedule of appearances, so does that mean I leave my pile of books at home and just exchange sage nods when passing in the hall?

I say you can't call it a "grilled" cheese sandwich unless you use a grill. Same with "toasted" cheese without a toaster. Most often it's a "pan-fried cheese sandwich".

They're also flummoxed when I point out my 81%-for-Trump county hasn't gone D since 1934, and lots of folks here vote R for the same reason they cheer for Ohio State football - it's what's done and no matter what you don't cheer for Michigan. We have MAGA dickheads, but it's not the whole story.
