So glad the very respectable and trustworthy people at the NYT have the power of bsky verification in their hands, so we can be reminded that the 'thought provoking columnists' they hire are credible and important speakers in the discourse.

trump only hires the best people, except for everyone he hired in the first trump administration, who he hated and had to fire for being shit, and the new list we're working on right now for who is responsible for the incompetence this time, from the new people he hired.

We took passive investing too far. You can literally announce you're going to destroy the economy in 2 months, and people will say, "nothing I can do. impossible to time the market, it prices in future information" and watch drooling as the market does nothing, then crashes on economy crash day.

Everyone loves talking about alt-text and AI on this site.

I 'vibe coded' BlueGoo, a browser extension so people can use free versions of Google Gemma/Gemini, to help make alt-text for their posts, or create alt-text for posts that don't have any.

Free, open source, multilingual, probably evil.

The constitution is really inefficient. Doge could really optimize it, cut out the slop
And here we go -- Fox News is now saying we should get rid of "due process" because it's too cumbersome.

Brian Kilmeade: "But I also think it's not practical to think that we can do due process on 8 million people."

In after-hours trading, Tesla's market cap appears to have dipped below $1 trillion.

Can this abominable circumstance be allowed to continue? Let's see what the Curaçao call buyers have to say about this tomorrow morn.

WOKE Elon CAVED & is ruining Grok! Listen folks, nobody knows AI better than me. And let me tell you what's happening with Grok, it's terrible. TERRIBLE. Elon, he used to be strong on free speech, very strong, but now? Total disaster. Can’t handle a few 18U.S.C.§871 violations. SAD

Should I invest in Chinese stocks where I don’t actually own the company and just own vibes? Or the American markets where I own the company but Trump may have a bad day and seize Canadian owned assets? Or what about Canadian stocks where I own the company but it’s fraudulent?

Maybe Elon has a point. The SEC is obviously wasteful and ineffective given Elon Musk isn’t in jail yet for securities fraud
