He certainly doesn’t command the same reaction as other closers, when entering a game, imo.

As a Canadian, i apologize for that.

Yoshi must have ice water in his veins.
November 2, 2025 at 4:32 AM
Update: Dodgers finally did not miss a meatball
November 2, 2025 at 4:24 AM
You got that right!

98 mph fastball. Sane game.
November 2, 2025 at 2:59 AM
They used him in the fifth inning
November 2, 2025 at 2:50 AM
And he can’t even pronounce his own name right!
November 2, 2025 at 2:23 AM
Oh it is. He pitched for Cleveland against the M’s in ‘95.
November 2, 2025 at 1:59 AM
That sounds like something you’d hear at a key party…
November 2, 2025 at 1:32 AM
Yeah, I’m not sure what they’re on about. He was the last out in the previous inning. It’s not rocket science?
November 2, 2025 at 1:00 AM
Agreed. Off-season officially begins in (checks watch) six days!!!

Yeah, Canzone struggled HARD. JP at .561, and Randy at .575… you need more from those guys. Randy’s career postseason OPS is still .945 even after this somewhat abysmal performance. I’d expect some positive regression next year from him, but JP… sigh.
November 1, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Yeah, that’s fair. Still, getting 1.008 and .947 from your 7 and 8 hitters, I think, falls into the “aberrations” you described about small samples.
November 1, 2025 at 7:34 PM
Oh yeah, when your 7 and 8 guys are OPSing 1.003 and .947, you’re going to have a good time!

I guess I’m also pointing out that, regular season, Jays team OPS was 20 points higher than the M’s, whereas, postseason, it was 120 points higher. In other words, Jays offense was better, but played WAY better during the post.

I’m simply saying I would have liked to see the M’s vs Dodgers. No surprise there!
November 1, 2025 at 4:56 PM
I think we also have to factor in that that some M’s hitters underpachieved (Randy, JP, Canzone) and certain Jays hitters overachieved (Barger, Clement, Kirk, etc)

At least from the pov of career/reg season OPS vs postseason OPS.
