Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 7:

I left the plant in veg/outside the tent for way longer than intended, until yesterday. This marks 60 days from germination until I sent it in flower.

Photo from June 18th.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 6:

It has been four weeks since the last report (cumulative 43 days since germination). I topped the plant about a week and a half ago and gave her time to recover. Today I moved to the next pot and trimmed some larger fan leaves to open up the bud sites.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 5:

Yesterday marked ~15 days since germination and I moved her in a bigger pot at a more suitable location.

This one's had a rough start but now she's growing like crazy again.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 4:

Seedling is one week old. Despite my early mishandlings, including a power outage, it seems to be thriving. Don't mind the pale embryonic leaves the plant is fine.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 3:

Photo as of Monday afternoon.

She seemed to have a minor genetic defect where the two seed leaves were glued together and in an attempt to pull them apart I ended up uprooting the entire plant.

Despite that she seems to have survived, thankfully.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 2:

Germination: Took a bit longer than last time, probably due to being dormant for so long. Tap root fully formed by Saturday night (April 26th)

As the website grows, the amount of misleading content and scammers here does, too.

Should go without saying but double check what the official websites say about their socials.

I'm still waiting for my mason jar (+ bovedas and a hygrometer) and temporarily put the dried buds in a tupper box.

Minus the stuff I already 'taste tested' I'm left with exactly 32 grams of dry mass. I expected 70 grams but I blame the mold for the loss.

Still, 32 grams is a massive improvement.

Meine hätte irgendwie so aussehen sollen aber naja. Ist wohl nicht genetisch durchgekommen.

Alright another update: We're in the final stretch now.

More lower leaves starting to lose color.

Fortunately no bud rot so far 👍

Added molasses to her water.

Smell of the buds is becoming more fragrant, photos are ass cause of phone camera but I am starting to see a few brown trichomes.

Update around the end of week 6:

I'm too broke to get myself an inline fan or a dehumidifier but manual ventilation + the cat litter trick worked to push the tent climate to a relatively dry and cozy state.

She seems to be doing relatively fine.

Approximately sixth week of flower:

Visually, not much changed from two weeks ago.

The colas aren't as big as I hoped for them to be, but the nutrient issues are back under control.

How long can you keep cannabis plants in flowering? I'm also worried about a risk of bud rot due to my ventilation.

Okay third to fourth week of flowering:

She's starting to smell stronger than before, and actually trying to smell the buds is so interesting because they have an almost spicy aroma to them. Very curious!

She took the transplantation well, the nutrient burn also seems to be controlled for now.
October 25, 2024 at 8:16 AM
Okay I am again not really sure what to make of this.

It looks like we went from having nutrient deficiencies to having nutrient burn, while still having deficiencies in some leaves.

Maybe I changed too many factors at once?

I'll use the regular water again. The new soil will provide the nutes.

Okay curse my ADHD and impulsive decision making. I transplanted her into a bigger pot after all because after further investigation, I realized the plant was in fact getting rootbound.

I ended up having to drill drainage holes in the only fitting container I had lying around and then moved her.
October 19, 2024 at 10:59 AM
The flowering phase is progressing decent so far. None of the purple color I was promised from the strain as of now, maybe that's because of the lamp though.

Some of the medium sized, lower fan leaves show signs of deficiencies, I guess the fertilizer I added was insufficient.
October 18, 2024 at 12:54 PM
Alright. I decided to send her in flower about a week ago, but I adjusted the light at a rate of one hour every two days. We're almost at 12/12 and I can tell she's starting to grow buds.

I was going to defoliate or lollipop her but I got afraid of hurting the plant too much in the end and didn't.
October 10, 2024 at 9:48 AM
The plant is close to one month old now (somewhere between 27-34 days I didn't count). I moved her to the tent and put on the better lamp I had. She's veggiemoding so hard right now. This is awesome.

If she keeps up this pace I may try to lollypop her.

Comparing cane (left) to beet (right) molasses is interesting, they have quite different nutritional profiles.

I checked the brand you bought (Grandma's Original) and they're using cane.

It's been a week since the last update and I feel like she's grown stupid fast how is this third week veg, are all photos like that?

(I topped her yesterday)
September 13, 2024 at 4:02 PM
Apologies for being quiet as of late. I harvested and cured my plant, but frankly I have been too busy with studies and job applications to have more fun with the devil's lettuce haha

I'm getting a tent in the coming week and I propagated one (1) photoperiodic plant to put inside. It's a week old
September 5, 2024 at 12:53 PM
The last picture I sent was actually taken about a week ago.

Since then, the plant has been dried and I put the harvest in a mason jar (as I should, right?) to start the curing process.

It's a modest payout, but it was my first grow under very modest conditions, so I think ultimately I did well.

Okay so since the last update, the NL plant has started growing hermie pretty badly. I removed the nanners and talked to Grace and on their advice ended up cutting her down a bit earlier than I originally planned to, just to avoid complications.
