I couldn't grow anything this year due to my living situation.

I promise you'll get proper plants updates for 2026, I'm going to raise some vegetables for my parents' backyard again.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 7:

I left the plant in veg/outside the tent for way longer than intended, until yesterday. This marks 60 days from germination until I sent it in flower.

Photo from June 18th.

Side note, this strajnin grows its leaves so incredibly dense compared to the last ones, Jesus.

I almost feel like lollypopping may even be necessary to get the most out of this? Either way I feel bold enough to try it this time. All in due time though.
Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 6:

It has been four weeks since the last report (cumulative 43 days since germination). I topped the plant about a week and a half ago and gave her time to recover. Today I moved to the next pot and trimmed some larger fan leaves to open up the bud sites.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 5:

Yesterday marked ~15 days since germination and I moved her in a bigger pot at a more suitable location.

This one's had a rough start but now she's growing like crazy again.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 4:

Seedling is one week old. Despite my early mishandlings, including a power outage, it seems to be thriving. Don't mind the pale embryonic leaves the plant is fine.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 3:

Photo as of Monday afternoon.

She seemed to have a minor genetic defect where the two seed leaves were glued together and in an attempt to pull them apart I ended up uprooting the entire plant.

Despite that she seems to have survived, thankfully.

Main's Grow Report #2 Issue 2:

Germination: Took a bit longer than last time, probably due to being dormant for so long. Tap root fully formed by Saturday night (April 26th)

This sounds very dramatic, but I will get back into the hobby, just... not in the near future.

I'm starting a new job in March and I plan on moving to my own apartment sooner than later afterwards, so maybe by summer I'll have everything sorted out.
My life is currently somewhat turbulent.

I currently do not know the future of my family situation, and depending on that also if I am even going to still be living here by next month.

I'm also trying to make ends meet financially, so I can't invest more in my growing setup for now.

Sorry.

As the website grows, the amount of misleading content and scammers here does, too.

Should go without saying but double check what the official websites say about their socials.

I used a little over 1/3rd of what I had to make edibles on Saturday (13.2g of weed on 25 simple butter cookies, roughly 0.5g per cookie?)

I messed up twice in the cooking process and expected them to not turn out too well but no, they knocked me out of my socks.

Storing them in my freezer now.

This weed is interesting by the way!

It doesn't get me /too/ cooked and tastes a bit like pine tree sap to me. Super sticky!

I would've preferred a more physical high but it's probably gonna work good enough as a painkiller and relaxant in the future.

I'm still waiting for my mason jar (+ bovedas and a hygrometer) and temporarily put the dried buds in a tupper box.

Minus the stuff I already 'taste tested' I'm left with exactly 32 grams of dry mass. I expected 70 grams but I blame the mold for the loss.

Still, 32 grams is a massive improvement.

❄️ Winter Break ❄️

I will continue all my gardening endeavors in 2025, likely with some spring vegetable seedlings to plant outdoors around February to March.

I'll post an update on my drying and curing process for the cannabis harvest later though.
November 24, 2024 at 4:08 AM
I'll dry and cure the harvest in the coming month or so, maybe take a knack at making edibles out of them. But no more growing during the cold winter months. Plus I have to save up to buy better gear for next try.

So about that bud rot... 🫠

Kind of was to be expected given how budget of a setup it was.

Ended up emergency harvesting right now. Good news is it only affected a small part of the lower buds on a single cola and was easy to isolate and remove, most of the other colas were close to mature anyways.
Alright another update: We're in the final stretch now.

More lower leaves starting to lose color.

Fortunately no bud rot so far 👍

Added molasses to her water.

Smell of the buds is becoming more fragrant, photos are ass cause of phone camera but I am starting to see a few brown trichomes.

To break it down:

A free seed sample that came with my order from @sweetseeds.bsky.social (I'll use the ones I actually ordered next time)

15L of BioBizz All-Mix (worth roughly 5-8€)

Tap water (a few cents)

A second-hand 100W lamp (gift from a friend)

second-hand tent (65€ on ebay)
Overall my experience with the second grow was much better than with the first one.

Still made plenty of mistakes and didn't get all the gear to make it a smooth ride, but it's a learning curve.

For how little money I put into the project I think it paid off quite well.

I'm starting to see a couple of brown trichomes on the sugar leaves, which probably means the plant will be ready for harvest in the coming two weeks.

Tent humidity is still somewhat under control, sadly no red pigment in the leaves so far - possibly because my lamp was mostly red and blue LEDs?
