Which totally defeats the point of me reading the BBC news: I am looking for international news which doesn’t get much, if any, air time in the US.

I don’t need the BBC’s echo chamber version of the US’s mass media outlets.

Perl - it had a good run, fueled the dot com boom and bust. But it’s time to retire because Python won.

And while TMTOWTDI is immensely flexible for the one writing the code, Guido van Rossum is right - Readability and maintainability are more important for code that matters.
