Edith Humphrey (1875-1978) was an English inorganic chemist who carried out pioneering work in coordination chemistry at the University of Zurich.
She is considered the first British woman to obtain a doctorate in chemistry and the first chemist to synthesize a chiral inorganic complex.

@worldwildlife.org's Living Planet Report warns that, over the past 50 years, the average size of monitored wildlife populations has shrunk by 73%.

Freshwater populations have suffered the heaviest decline, falling by 85%, followed by land mammals (69%), and marine life (56%).

For International Women's Day, I give you Lise Meitner, one of the discoverers of nuclear fission, the first to formulate and understand it. Never won the Nobel Prize despite being nominated 49 times, though she does have the element Meitnerium named after her.

A piston used in a car engine made in Michigan will cross the U.S. border twice, and will be taxed 25% each time.

Some products cross the U.S. border even more than that.
