I take guanfacine to treat my anxiety (works well!) and it also happens to be an adhd med. there are several options and the can work well solo or in combination.
The trial and error to get there can be very annoying.

Follow up post to add that stims are very individual, people have different chemistry. Adderall made me hyperfocus, gaunfacine made me better able to choose what i was focusing ON. Using both together is my current med strategy.

100% I was diagnosed post-burnout and now take adderall. It helps a lot, not a cure! but a lot better.

And since we don't process dopamine correctly a LOT of us have anxiety disorders bc we are hacking our adrenaline systems to do the same task initiation tasks... with long-term health consequences including burnout in our 30s because our adrenal system just doesn't have the juice anymore to keep up.
