A child of the internet and a perpetual try-hard.
For the last 2-3 years I've bitched about Spotify's Wrapped, and every year for the last 2-3 years I said I'm going to finally break up with the platform and put my money where my mouth is.
Sooo. Watch me do it again this year and maybe this year I'll actually break up.

You know what should be my number 1 song for the last week? Something on Lorde's new album bc I've played that probably close to 11 times in the last week.

Like, watch this song be in my Top 5 songs for Wrapped even though I had not heard it until last week.
I don't understand how Spotify's data can be so messed up when it owns its own data and play structure? It's own algorithms?

2. PLEASE LET ME PIN MY FAVORITE EMOJIS AND STOP MOVING THE RECENT EMOJIS AROUND

I use the same ~10 emojis almost daily. Just let me keep them anchored in one spot.

If anyone is drawing qualitative data from bluesky about the general sentiment of the administration during this government shut down, mine is:
This is so obviously not the democrats fault bc it's also abundantly clear they're not even trying to negotiate.
AGAIN FOR EXISTING SUBSIDIES?!

lol which leads to more tax spending when people are cared for without insurance. Inefficiency in the government at its finest. Where's Doge now?

And he's choosing to compound this issue because anyone being let go may have to go into the Open Market where... the health insurance rates will be higher/maybe inaccessible and more people lose their insurance.

And then to choose to actively punish the citizens by demanding mass layoffs to "get back" at the democrats, who... again... are only fighting to keep EXISTING subsidies that will help millions keep their healthcare.

Honestly, why don't the Republicans want to extend them? Your constituents are benefiting from them, they've been in place, like this feels stubborn for the sake of being stubborn.
(which, I know is the case, I just wish for rationality)

Additional feedback: I also pay for Search Engine with @pjvogt.bsky.social and the break down on how advertising works in the pod world was the ingredients behind the brownie I didn’t know I was dying to see. That was a really compelling episode for continuing to support.

And great closer @yoweishaw.bsky.social - I enjoyed this episode and your telemarketer line worked. I just signed up to be a premium member.
Bc I want these to succeed and this is the least I can do to support the art I enjoy.
