I’m waiting for the twist where her curse is fake or misunderstood. But in the meantime, Lyra with her “no one can ever love me” just makes me think of Goob from Meet the Robinsons: “They all hated me.”

Maybe it becomes relevant later and I haven’t gotten to it yet, but at first glance, this cover makes me think Norse gods, not Greek

Welcome to Night Vale is super weird and nonsensical, but they went hard with this speech about single parenthood. (The son wants to meet his dad, and this was his mother's response.) Looking forward to the podcast when I finish this book.
