At a doctor's appointment, they sprung an impromptu EKG on me and when the medical assistant ripped the electrodes off she did it so hard and fast I felt my soul leave with them.
Externally I didn't react, but internally I was going "YEEEOOOOOW" a la Tom and Jerry.

Had my first Canadian healthcare experience. Listen, I'm aware of the pitfalls of provincial healthcare. The family doctor shortage is a Problem. But this was such a drastically better experience than anything I ever got in the States.

Finally watched Nosferatu (2024), pretty good! Some casting choices I think were a little lackluster, and it overall felt a BIT long toward the end. But the set design/costuming was top notch. Really appreciated the storyline too, faithful to the original inspirations but still with a few twists.

Watching Batman TAS with @eatyoursparkout.bsky.social earlier. A lackey got left behind, another lackey cried "but he's one of us!". And I immediately said "boss, he's part of the goon union!". My wife and I both looked at each other at the exact time and shouted "THE GOONION!!".
