Turns out there is a medical equivalent! I have an MRI tomorrow and all I can think is “damn I hope I didn’t accidentally get a full metal hip replacement”.

Yk that thing that’s like ‘the first hallmark of a civilized society is healed femur fractures’ (or whatever) bc it shows that someone who couldn’t do their role in that society was still cared for and valued? I know a lot of autistic people can do things. Those that can’t still have value, tho.
