A flower-shaped felt christmas tree ornament in red, blue and purple with a heart motif in the centre and three dangle weights with lapis lazuli and Swarovski crystal beads. This was my cousin Julian's present and I had to box it in a hurry late at night, hence the poor photography. A round blue and gold felt christmas tree ornament featuring a golden moon and stars, and three dangle weights ending in Swarovski crystals and a silver bead tassel. My mother nearly wrestled this one out of my hands on the way to the gallery and I had to promise I would make her a sun and moon pair after Christmas instead. A blue oval felt christmas tree ornament featuring a partridge in a heart-shaped pear tree, in a grey pot. The dangle has a gold heart and finishes in a copper hand-shaped 'Hand Made' tag. A cream, gold and blue flower-shaped christmas tree ornament, edged with cobalt glass beads and finished with dangle weights with gold points and pearls. This one was almost impossible to photograph because it's so fat and it was so bright outside.

In honour of Jimin Day, Here is a preview of But Now I'm Found, the sequel to I Once Was Lost - aka The Jimin Story.

Not a happy beginning for the birthday boy, unfortunately, but I don't have another story about Jimin right now.
Pride goes before a fall, they say, but Jimin thinks he’s been falling for a long, long time. Not the kind of endless, painless drop through the dark, where the punishment only comes at the end - no, this has been like falling down a steep, filthy mountain slope, covered in sharp rocks and steeper drops, and every second of it has been full of pain. He has only had his pride to cushion him, and sometimes it has made things even worse. Now, though, Jimin is sure he must have reached the bottom. No further to fall, nowhere else to go but here, no pride left. Time to see if Kim Taehyung really will keep that promise he made, even after everything.

As they entered the apartment and shed their outer clothes, Hongjoong said, ‘Sorry about him. He would have been much more polite if he was expecting us. Now, do you need to do your altar thing at some point, or something?’ Mingi nodded. ‘Every moonset and moonrise, although admittedly it’s hard to tell when the moon is rising h-ah!’ Thunder crashed suddenly, lightning lit up the windows and Mingi jumped violently, visibly turning ashen. ‘Mingi?’ Hongjoong stepped towards him and he didn’t move, jaw clenched and knuckles white where his hands were fisted in the edges of his wide sleeves. He smelled almost of nothing, just faintly tinged with bitter orange and dead flowers - a scent suppressed with fear. Hongjoong swore under his breath, and said to Mingi, ‘Don’t move, OK? The storm can’t get in, nobody’s going to hurt you.’ Then he ducked into the sitting room and said, ‘Guys, I need help. I think Mingi’s scared of the thunder.’ Everyone in the room looked up but Jongho was already on his feet, flapping a hand at Yunho. ‘Sit down, Hyung, I’ll go. If you want to be an alpha hero go and warm a blanket for him.’

Started making felt tree ornaments, they're an enormous amount of fun. Not pictured, the twenty or so from last year that I found, rejoiced over and promptly lost again.

Taehyung - Tambour work
- I had to pick a weird one for Tae, so this one is worked with a hook, not a needle
- It's used a lot in India to do beadwork on sarees! But it can also be used with just plain thread, and a similar technique is used in rug making. Do what you feel like!
