But anyways, happy to be here! I’m still considering deactivating my X account, but for now I’ve just kind of gone inactive. That entire platform is just full of inescapable far-right vitriol and conspiracy theories so I’m outta there. ✌🏼

Lastly, I’m also an Extra-class ham which means I can transmit on all ham radio frequencies. I primarily operate on HF, and some of my most long-distance radio contacts from here in Georgia, USA are Bosnia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Costa Rica. I’m hoping to reach Asia at some point, which is tough.

I also love astronomy! I do a little bit of astrophotography here and there but I’m primarily a visual person, meaning I like to look through the eyepiece and not a camera. I’m also an amateur telescope maker, and so some of my instruments are homemade, including my largest telescope (17.5”)

My primary interests and training are in satellite meteorology and remote sensing, but I also love to storm chase and take pics of cool cloud formations. Still have yet to see a tornado irl, but that’s next on the bucket list. For now, the gustnado circled in image 2 will have to do.
