Living proof that a certain background, natural talent, or specialized education are unnecessary for car enthusiasm.

Drive old naturally aspirated cars & learn to fix them yourself. Not only is it self-affirming, but you’ll also confound the aristocracy.
Wait… the person’s name is Birny Birnbaum? Like, from Miller’s Crossing?

You should use DeepSeek to generate images that finish the meme turning Zuck into a clown.

I wonder how all the tech bros who helped offshore American jobs feel about China offshoring all of their money. “Bro, first they came for the blue collar dudes, and I said nothing because those dudes are dirty plebes…”

Don’t worry, after DJT orders Congress to fund the Ministry of Truth, this will all get squared away.

And they have to support the commercial real estate values not just because the companies over purchased real estate, but because the executives also over invested in commercial real estate via REITs, etc.

Also shows how fake all these corporate climate pledges are. One thing that would eliminate A LOT of pollution would be not requiring people to sit in traffic for an hour 3-5 days per week.

THIS… there’s something about the potential energy. I love it even more in person. The noise that you can feel in your bones. The smells… it just brings me a sense of awe at what engineering can do.

I remember the first time I heard Still Remains and Silvergun Superman. Couldn’t believe how deep an album Purple was. Those would’ve been great songs for another band. For STP? Meh, buried behind other stuff.

You think? I think we’re looking at a challenge to the 22nd A. upcoming, unless age and senility finally get the better of DJT.

With his (successful) court packing vs Joe’s unsuccessful dithering, I think we very well might still see that 8 year run yet.

Right? I found a few bucks in my wallet (I never carry cash), man on the street asked me if I had a few bucks… apologized bc it wasn’t much but gave him what I found. But I felt like a million bucks bc MAYBE somebody’s day was even a smidge brighter

Imagine how this guy could feel if he wanted.

Agreed… but, to agree with your larger point, he was elected to protect democracy. Instead, he largely delegated that to ppl not up to the task & focused on things he wasn’t elected to do. He was elected to shore up our institutions but he chose to shore up the economy (mainly for his rich friends).

I feel like several presidents in my lifetime have been elected with mandates. Only to get in office, do nothing about the issues that got them elected, then skate out with, “Welp, it’s your problem now…” in their farewell speech. Biden is just the latest in a line of ultimately feckless leadership.

Buddy of mine is Scandinavian. Once he said “speed-o-meter” and I’ve always thought that would be a great way for categorizing men’s swimwear. Like “speed-o-meter” 0 would be full on dad trunks. “Speed-o-meter” 10 would require certain kinds of beaches.

Perfect!

It took me a lot of years to realize that fitness is about self-kindness, not self-criticism.

Didn’t do so well in the gym today? That’s alright, I get another shot at it tomorrow. Took some time off around the holidays? Of course! Worked hard all year to do it…

I’m rooting for ya!!!

No, but gods, now it’s firmly planted in there too! 🤣

It was some psychedelic kids show that was the most bonkers thing you’ve ever seen. My son loved it for like 6 months. And now I can’t find it anymore, but I’ll apparently take it to my grave.

2 quick pieces of advice I wish I’d when I got back at it:

1. Not my idea, but my secret on my sulk days is to tell myself to do 1 exercise & then I can quit. Worst case, at least I got one thing done!

2. Also, 10% of a workout is better than 0%. Keeps me from using pressures to do nothing.

HTH!
