One more #MarketplaceRipoff for everyone today. A brand new model costs $700 from Snap On (lifetime warranty), this guy will sell you a “new” one that he sent off for repair due to “corroded batteries” and has “all new internals” for the low, low price of… $575.

Sure, you can get a new one directly from Harbor Freight with a 5 year warranty for $179. But wouldn’t you RATHER go on Marketplace and spend $200 for no warranty?! 🤣

In other #deals (air quotes) on #Amazon, you can have a true high-torque from Dewalt for $212. Or, you can buy the old model with half the torque for… $254. Unless you know the model numbers, you can’t tell. 😒

You COULD buy a brand new ratchet from Snap On for $180 with a lifetime replacement warranty… or you could go to my #Facebook Marketplace and pick up a beat up, not-at-all stolen one with no warranty from this guy for JUST… $140. What a #deal! 😆

Genuinely not sure which are my favorite FB Marketplace listings around me… the old worn out tools that people want to sell for retail prices, or the obviously stolen tools that people want to sell… for retail prices. 🤔

While I am deeply concerned about #AI, one thing I hope it can do is democratize car repair & maintenance. For example, it gives simple step-by-step instructions (including tools needed) to diagnose & repair many (maybe all?) issues with your vehicle without the need to purchase expensive manuals.
