Arsenal fan, tech PR guy, and Twitter/X refugee.

My employers have asked me to make it clear that they want *nothing* to do with any of the dull, tedious comments I make on here, as they are far too cool for that sort of thing, apparently.
I think that was a reasonable expectation!

Particularly given the way Chelsea’s players kept throwing themselves to the ground after the sending off!

Absolutely. I also think we really missed the technical quality and security of Gabriel and, in particular, Saliba throughout.

It's very true! And quite depressing!

That's very true. And Eze's signing is a game changer in that respect.

I think this is exactly it. People get swayed by media narratives and regurgitate them. It's a societal thing as much as it is evident in football. Many Arsenal 'fans' seem to think a team is good if they win something and bad if they don't. There's no room for nuance.

Totally agree that there’s no danger of that from the team themselves. Perhaps I should have worded my post better - my worry is that fans/pundits think winning something is a fait accompli. People to stay humble and appreciate we’ve done nothing yet!

I think him and Eze are very different players. Eze is a final ball player, whereas Ødegaard is all about hard work, dictating the tempo and keeping the ball. Agree last season wasn’t his best, but I feel he struggled with fitness. Easy also to forget how incredible he was 2 seasons ago…

Honestly, I think he will take us up yet another level. I say judge him when he’s fully fit - I think he’s going to run the show both in and out of possession.

YOU’RE JUST MAKING IT WORSE.

You had your chance, Chris. You blew it.

IT’S TOO LATE NOW.
