Some snowy house portraits from a long walk with friends a few weeks ago. I love how the snow hides everything while simultaneously unearthing things like textures, colors and footprints you didn't notice before.

None of the other birds would stand up to this bully. Not even the bold cardinals that had been caught previously screaming at anyone around them.

After about 24hrs we started getting notifications that we had visitors. The occasional squirrel engorging themself for about 30 minutes but mostly House Finches and Cardinals so far. All was peaceful until they arrived.

We were gifted this awesome bird feeder for Christmas. I, the benevolent provider, set it up in a secluded space against our back fence offering a smorgasbord for our local avian population.
