I think Walford was supposed to be a mix of Walthamstow and surrounding areas. Hackney 1985, I wouldn't even be able to say, pre - gentrification, I guess.

Had some amazing highs with my running this year, the half marathon in January, marathon training and the London Marathon itself. Parkrun 100 achieved. Would've loved to end on high with RU2C. My aim for 2026 is not such highs but consistency. Running weekly, injury free.

Watched AmandaLand Christmas special today - I liked the scenery & Christmassyness of it, over the plot. Jennifer Saunders was hilarious as the Aunt who gobbles a bath salt thinking they are mints."Its ok I'll bathe later" Now she's a great host, welcoming, unfazed by anything, a feeder, good stuff

Best type of hosting is my French friend, I just popped by, she feeds me mozzarella, tomato, basil and balsamic, *then* puts some ravioli with evo, milled pepper and then dessert - meringue with berries and cream and lots of offers "somefing to dwink?" That's what I aspire to.
