Democratic Congress and President should pass an Authoritarian Anti-Compliance Act that will mandate government agencies and personnel to refuse to carry out demands that meet criteria specified as degrading pluralistic democracy and enabling a strong presidency (in the political science sense).

Mamdani is great for NYC. He is NYC. He is not a model for 90% of state or federal tickets and we shouldn't pretend it's new reality.

Anger at media can be legitimately indignant and righteous but by far it's a highly convenient salve for not dealing with the scum ruining lives or for avoiding deeper or more difficult conversations with family or neighbors. As if media is all that's necessary to suddenly get fascists to quit.
