Food. Law. Food law.
GRAS is for substances intentionally added to food, not contaminants. A GRAS food additive is generally recognized, among qualified experts, as adequately shown to be safe for its intended use. This happens either through scientific evidence or substantial history of common use in food.

A failure of journalism as well, since nobody had the facts to appropriately contextualize the conflict. People should be paying attention to who got the story right vs. who is just parroting what they're given by the parties involved.

Nobody won this one. It should have played out between state departments, not on social media in front of masses who understand neither brinksmanship nor diplomacy.

Cosign. My feet went numb and I nearly caught hypothermia. Would not recommend. The good folks at the St. Regis saved my life after the Hay Adams turned me hobbling away. They gave me tea and let me warm up in the lobby. Best people watching ever and I'll be eternally grateful for their kindness!

Me: how much of an avocado is actually eaten vs thrown away?
Chat GPT: about 60/40 (actually, it said a bunch of irrelevant words first, then it gave an answer)

Democrats didn't have the votes in the Senate to certify in 2021 (Congress certifies amendments ratified by the states in a joint declaration). Senate was split 50-50 with VP Harris as tiebreaker, but that was the era of Manchin/Sinema obstruction.

Pretty obv efforts afoot to make it seem like UPFs can't be clearly defined (and therefore can't be regulated/banned).

In sum: 1) support detox pathways (stay regular + milk thistle, green tea, dandelion root, celery root, parsley) 2) avoid stress and sedentariness, 3) whole food plant based diet with fish and poultry; fiber, vitamin D, calcium, and antioxidants being particularly important.
