Thanks! It's actually knitting; tatting uses different tools and creates a different kind of fabric. At this stage though, it doesn't look like much. Once it's done, it will be blocked aggressively to open the lace up and make the patterns more visible.

It will be a circular lace shawl. I'm designing as I go; will probably lean heavily on Estonian stitch patterns.
