Right now. Man Cyberpunk 2077 really hit me out of nowhere a few weeks ago when I finally picked it up. I always loved the genre and setting of Cyberpunk stories, I had since I first saw Ghost in the Shell. So I was expecting to enjoy myself, but what I wasn't expecting was a story about coming to terms with grief and loss, about how to forgive yourself, find meaning and choice when all of it feels like it's been taken from you, and connect with characters and people even if they start of hating you. The characters in this game feel so real, so much like actual people and not just NPCs in a game, more than a lot of other games to me. Truly a stellar work of art, and the DLC as well was magnificent. 10/10 cried multiple times. I need to get this game to go back and replay it. This game had a profound effect on me when I was younger. Growing up playing games like Halo or Dragon Age or more typical games, they would have a story and dark themes but at the end of the day they would be pretty straight forward. This game was the first that really was an art, and a masterpiece in writing and story telling with almost no words. Maybe a paragraph of text in total. But it still told and conveyed so much and immersed and connected with me in a way I had never felt in a game before and helped me really appreciate the kind of stories and experiences games can tell, that only games can tell. The experience would not be the same if you were not the one playing it. Outer Wilds feels like a more modern game with that same philosophy on the act of experience of the game and world as story, but I have to give respect to where it began for me.

A tranquil autumn afternoon. The wind slowly going through your hair and the crunch of the autumn leaves. The brook quietly bubbles and churns. The air crisp and clean but the sun shines with a gentle warmth. The green of the trees blend and blur with the yellow and orange. Carefully stepping on the rocks out into the middle of the river. The water splashes up, the path slick, is tread with careful balance. But there is a large rock in the center of this clearing that you can stay at as the birds fly around and chirp in the distance. Immersed in the beauty of the nature and the world. Eyes close and there is nothing but soft footfalls, gentle heartbeats. The steady flow of the world around you as it keeps spinning, life endures. Grounded, alive, in this quiet moment. The anxiety and fears of life, the unknown future, the heartache of loss, all melt away before this moment of serene peace. Life lives in the moment, and once it's gone it will never come back. It can never be as once it was. But it is in the process of becoming something, as are all things. Only the future holds what these things will become, what beauty life has in store that is yet to be seen. It must be observed to be made real. Life must endure, no matter how hard, to see the beauty that is to come. Precious and fragile, a spark of a flame on the cusp of being snuffed out. Protect it, nurture it, and live. The sun will set, darkness will come, and light will leave us. But it will only do so for a time. There will be a dawn, the sun will rise, hope will shine, and life endures. It is beautiful, so stay here and witness it. Open eyes to the beauty of the world, let love fill the heart. Breathe. In and out. Breathe, and live. If you got this far, I'm happy that you're hear. You are loved, so please stay here. It can be difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel, to feel the love in your soul. But you made it this far, you're still here. Keep going, I believe in you. One step at a time.

Anyways, I also made this bomb ass snack this evening. I've actually been having it all week mostly because I've been trying to have some somewhat healthier and more filling snacks but also because a 2.60 bag of carrots makes 4 servings of this.
Roasted carrots with 3 pepper hummus. The carrots were marinated with a seasoning of pepper, lemon pepper, crushed red pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, an Italian seasoning blended, and a little salt. That was all mixed with olive oil and some soy sauce to make it easier to coat then roasted for 20 minutes at 350 with a 30 second broil... It's good.

I have so many conflicting emotions right now. I finally get to close out a ticket I've had open with Microsoft support for 121 days! This has been an issue since July 18th. The best part? Microsoft support never actually fixed shit, we found the problem that they should have found day 1!
