This is designed to keep people just solvent enough to serve debt, not build wealth. Their mortgage becomes an even tighter leash, rather than the ladder it should be. So people just keep paying rent to oligarchs, never really owning anything, and preventing intergenerational wealth transfer.

“Move to the center” isn’t right, especially not when it means adopting lite versions of the other party’s odious positions.
What a party that lost an election needs is to *capture* the center.
Maybe moving towards the ruling party does that. But sometimes, standing more firmly against them does.

The patrons who loved art are gone, and the MAGA faithful it now courts just lost SNAP benefits and can’t afford healthcare. When you trade culture for grievance, both the cultured and the conned stop showing up.

So, the ouroboros has become a full business model. Politicians echo the crowd, pocket the donations, and preserve power by selling it back as “the will of the people.”

And politicians have really learned to farm this: mirror the crowd, monetize the outrage, and package it as authenticity. They aren’t concerned with persuading people anymore, they’re just performing and putting out a product.
