They really just want HS graduates to jump in to lower end of labor pool earlier in life. They want pool of non union workers easy to hire and fire, grateful and desperate for jobs, easy to lay off. College grad professionals think too much, demand respect, compete with their own kids

The big risk is that if anything goes wrong in your life or economy, you are underwater with these loans far easier and for far longer. 2009-2011 mortgage crisis on steroids.

We are likely to see way more cases like this. Guys encouraged to do inhumane things to others can hide their faces from public but can’t hide from themselves. There will be a lot of armed but deeply emotionally shattered LEOs out there drinking way to numbness

I would argue many seniors also aren’t selling and downsizing to retirement communities because the costs are sky high and rising sharply. Senior care quality to value out there is deplorable.

And yes I know people will say ‘but cars are a depreciating asset’ but as someone who lived through housing boom bust 2006-2012 I can tell you housing prices DO go down

The worry, like long car loans, is that people will overbuy by lowering immediate payments but if anything goes wrong in life or markets they will be much more likely to be underwater and go bankrupt. Should you ban 50’s? No, but man why would you encourage them!
