Dear Chillicothe, Ohio:
Your paper plant was shut down due to private equity pillage, just as Lancaster's glass plant was pillaged by PE, and so many others.
Trump is helping those PE guys get even richer.

I know lawyers who have defended Border Patrol officers, and prosecuted Border Patrol officers, and I've known a couple of Border Patrol officers. Under any other president, this guy would be gone, right now, not least because he is now an unreliable witness.

Literally nobody I have interacted with for the last decade - warehouse workers, glass workers, hospital employees, cops, paper mill workers, unemployed, municipal officials, chicken delivery drivers - thinks about this. At all.

Crimeny. Umm...I live here. Literally not one person I spoke to mentioned Newsom's future. It was all about fighting for democracy.

I dunno, man. I've never used A.I., do not want to use A.I. and am perfectly happy.
It's not inevitable.

Still throwing out old office odds and ends and ran across my collection of Hillsdale College gems from their newsletter.

This gif from Adam Kuehl for the @nytimes.com, is pretty dramatic. Whatever the arguments, pro or con, about robotics and AI, there is a very real psychological effect on workers. Politicians need to wrestle with that.
