Peace, Love and Anarchy

Not opposed to bringing down Wall St. from the inside.

This thread needs amplification. The guy looking for fRaUd is literally funneling gov't $ to his own failed product.
Cybertruck is the biggest flop in modern American history. Sales are pathetic compared to full sized trucks, Tesla has blown through its reservations, they are having to drop prices to keep sales moving, and it has been subject to more defects than any new launch in memory, plus seven recalls.
Musk's company has been awarded a $400 million government contract for "armored Tesla." This is what the tech oligarchy looks like.

Might be early but feels like the NFL and the Super Bowl have jumped the shark.

Some would say a military flyover for a game played in a dome might be an example of actual govt waste.

Tesla getting the Xitter treatment.
Couldn't happen to xittier guy or car.

Econ 101 - ignore whatever Powell says about the strength of the US economy and just follow the chart of $PII that will tell you how the US consumer is really doing.

Might be interesting in the teens in 2026-27

FWIW - AOC's media blitz means she's already running for 2028
BREAKING: AOC has said there is insider trading in Congress.

"It's so crazy... we're supposed to act like money only corrupts Republicans? Give me a fucking break."
January 24, 2025 at 8:08 PM
The smartest guys in tech who don't have a financial incentive to push AI continue to sound alarms

"AI simply being better at mundane things than the average human will cause carnage."

"We are super fd"

I guess 20-40 million jobs at risk in the US and many of those late career/high salary jobs
January 24, 2025 at 2:50 PM
Just leaving this here for future generations bc hopefully the other app is gone by 2028.

2028 prediction: Vance/Rogan vs AOC/Hasan.

The VP debate might turn into a pay-per-view deadlift competition but I'm here for it.

"well, if we don't communicate health risks to the public they can't blame me like they did with covid when I just tell them to drink bleach. I still think that would've worked. Have we tested that any further? Elon will you drink some bleach for us?" 1600 Pennsylvania Ave tonight (probably)
🛑JUST CANCELLED—Trump HHS has just cancelled key meetings of the Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB) & CDC’s Environmental Public Health Threats meeting—➡️all because of Trump WH’s new blackout of all HHS external comms. My god.

Most likely scenario - By 2026-27 we will hit 7% unemployment, official recession and 40-50% decline in stocks.

But Trump's inner circle will tell him he's killing it because they are scooping up assets for pennies on the dollar.
January 21, 2025 at 1:17 PM
I'm not sure I'm ready for 4 years of headlines screaming

"TRUMP SAYS.....(insert lie here)" again

Most bubblicious IPO description of 2024:

The company provides caviar and caviar-based gourmet products.

If you want to see the cesspool that all social media will become post Meta's decision to drop content moderation - look at the comments on xitter regarding the devestating LA fires.

Vile commentary without an ounce of sympathy for fellow Americans.
January 8, 2025 at 1:42 PM
So we all left Xitter for obvious reasons and now Meta/IG is heading down the same path.

What's the solution? Leaving all social media?

You don't have to worry about accountants questioning your illiquid PE investments if you sign their paychecks.

For all the talk of Trump, Santa rallies, etc. The market is now up about 1% since the close on the day after the election.

Still think there is a little upside when flows improve after 1/1 but we're getting really close.
December 27, 2024 at 2:39 PM
Don't want to take all the credit but whoever ran with this idea, it's gaining traction.

Well done.
Let's get a rumor going that Elon is considered the REAL president and that people are bypassing Trump's inner circle to talk to the addict-in-chief.

Mr. Insecurity would have Elon's security clearance revoked by dinner.

Can't wait for JPow to tell me how wrong I am and inflation is contained. Unfortunately, no one is telling corporate America.

Just paid my first 2025 health insurance premium -
Up 25%.

Also paid January monthly parking -
Up 15%

For those trying to keep up at home - Al Qaeda got their Zelensky makeover (complete with green fatigues) so they're cool, but ISIS is still bad.

Our level of interference in a country 99.999% of Americans couldn't find on a map is inexcusable but very on-brand for the US in the 21st century.
December 16, 2024 at 11:32 PM
Me: In December

government "collapses" - France, Germany
on the verge - Canada
Impeached - S. Korea

Combined that's 10% of Global GDP

With Trump and his motley crew of addicts ready to take over 25% of global GDP

Markets: To da MOOOON!!!
December 16, 2024 at 8:34 PM
Everything about this is stupid.

Not every govt service needs to be turned into a profit center.

Some essential government services - like mail, FDA, USDA - serve to unite and protect citizens.

This is a futher step on the path becoming a dysfunctional democracy.
*TRUMP: THERE IS TALK ABOUT POSTAL SERVICE GOING PRIVATE
*TRUMP: WE'RE LOOKING AT USPS PRIVATIZATION
December 16, 2024 at 5:33 PM
There was a time when companies would avoid investing in rogue states that didn't follow international law, that actively sought to harm the enviroment and its citizens through lax regulations.

In today's "Grift now, MAGA later" world companies like Softbank are lining up to throw $ at Frump. 😡
