Went to Gateway Outdoor Expo + Summit today. Got lots of fun freebies, pet a dog, ALMOST got my wife to get our picture taken with Santa Claus in a canoe, and picked up some treats to help take the edge off.

Our daughter surprised us with a visit. We built a fire, toasted marshmallows, and watched the leaves fall. Now, it’s time for some wrestling. Not a bad day. ❤️

I added Art to the tree this year along with my old favorites. We watched Christmas Vacation and ate strawberry cream pie and I put out my Happy Meal Christmas train, much to my wife’s chagrin. 🤣

I drank a margarita the size of my head and I am not much of a drinker these days. I am full of tacos and booze and ready for sleep at 830. Twenty-something me is looking on in disgust, while 48 year old me is so excited that I might sleep through the night.

Second interview down. I feel pretty good about my performance, but he was stone faced and hard to read. I also feel there was an answer he wasn’t satisfied with, so who knows. I have another tech screen interview on Tuesday for the same role on a different team, so I’m far from done with these.

Sorry if you’re all sick of my job hunting posts, but it’s basically my entire life right now.
Had my 1st interview for a higher position with the same company. It went very well. I was moved into the next round and she told me “I am confident you will do great”, which I’m taking as a positive sign

Last night, we made a fire, watched the deer on the property, and toasted marshmallows. This morning, we grabbed coffee to go and drove around, looking at Halloween clearance items. Not a bad weekend.

Got a peanut butter and jelly burger from the local diner out of morbid curiosity and it was actually pretty tasty. I honestly think I would have preferred more of the jelly (bacon habanero jelly).
