Went to Gateway Outdoor Expo + Summit today. Got lots of fun freebies, pet a dog, ALMOST got my wife to get our picture taken with Santa Claus in a canoe, and picked up some treats to help take the edge off.

I love that the deer no longer run away when they see us and will actually come pretty far up the property toward us. We’re all just peacefully coexisting.

My wife had a procedure yesterday and the anesthesiologist asked her if she used cocaine. She replied “no” and I asked, “When did you stop using coke?”. The anesthesiologist did not find it amusing and shot me this look:

Feeling down today, so I decided I need pizza flavored cheese balls, pizza, chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter cup ice cream. Surely my mood will improve if my stomach hurts enough to distract my brain.

Our downsizing includes our Christmas tree, as our old behemoth of a tree will not fit in our new house. Our daughter dubbed it “the Ozempic tree” and we love our skinny tree. We also put out some of our favorites: Snoop on the Stoop, Christmas Vacation towels, and the ¿Dónde Está Santa Claus? dog.

I drank a margarita the size of my head and I am not much of a drinker these days. I am full of tacos and booze and ready for sleep at 830. Twenty-something me is looking on in disgust, while 48 year old me is so excited that I might sleep through the night.

Had my 1st interview for a higher position with the same company. It went very well. I was moved into the next round and she told me “I am confident you will do great”, which I’m taking as a positive sign

My brother-in-law said a kid was dressed as a Stormtrooper, when he was clearly a Mandalorian, and I don’t know if I’ve ever had less respect for another human being.

Got a peanut butter and jelly burger from the local diner out of morbid curiosity and it was actually pretty tasty. I honestly think I would have preferred more of the jelly (bacon habanero jelly).
