I just got pulled over for making a left turn into the left lane of telegraph when another car was turning right from the other side of Pennsylvania Rd, I didn't do anything wrong. People who turn right into the left lane are the ones breaking the law.

On the other hand @mcuban.bsky.social I am a US citizen who now is a resident of Italy and I can’t begin to tell you how nice it is to go to the doc and the only concern is my well being. Not, is it covered.

I have a family of 4 and get "subsidized" insurance from my job. Two sons are in college.
Barely middle class.
My silver insurance premium is $100 less than my mortgage.
My mortgage!
Payout starts after 5000 out of pocket yearly.
They stopped covering my wife's monthly asthma meds.
This sucks.

I worked HR and had an employee whose tiddler develop an aggresive brain tumor. Insurance called it a pre existing condition. On my own time, I did some research, talked with people and found a loophole so insurance had to cover the surgery and treatment. I got written up by the company I worked for

The facts are, the ACA saved millions with pre-existing conditions and set standards for care.
But now, more than a decade later, with what we now know, it’s time to take the insurance companies out of the mix.
The subsidies they get are enormous. We don’t need them as middlemen.
