I don't think taking credit is so simple people have to actually be listening.

Shouting doesn't work if the mic is turned off.

I'm sorry but this is a different Brian Hibbs.

Before people get mad at what trump does they have to be in touch with reality enough to know what he's doing.

Lots of voters will accept whatever bullshit lies/excuses/scapegoat that Trump spews for the consequences of his and his voters' actions.

It doesn't even matter what he says. The voters are too stupid to listen.

For that matter intangible things can provide immense value. A new patent reflects an abstract idea but it results in real technological improvement.

When I provide IT service and fix someone's computer that's tangible.

Economics doesn't depend on what you think is intuitive.

Tariffs on foreign inputs to domestic production will result in very real cost increases for US manufacturing. This wouldn't suddenly work in our favor if we had more factories.

Services provide real value whether you like it or not.

Good

We're fucked, everyone will think Trump did this and he will successfully find a scapegoat when he fucks it up with the tariffs.

The Republicans will bend the knee they won't let idiocy stop them from joining in on said idiocy.
November 28, 2024 at 5:40 AM
They won't. Their kids might.

I'm pretty sure most people alive in the US are like the silent generation right now. Wrong about a lot and stuck in our ways such that society will only improve through attrition.

It didn't occur to me that someone interested in antitrust would not see protectionism as limiting competition. It seems so obvious.

My faith in humanity is so low it's drilling to the center of the earth.
