Caecilians are the legless amphibians, they are rarely seen due to their fossorial habits, so moments like these are very special. This yellow headed caecilian was found in Gamboa Panama behind @amphibianrescue #amphibianresilience

This was one of the most impactful moments in my life from 12 years ago. Encountering a Tristan thrush on inaccessible island, one of the remotest islands in the world. They had no fear of humans as they navigated oceanic trash piles washed up on their beach.
