Toro Puzzle really should’ve been given a fair chance. It’s a shame! But at least something good came out of it with Sora becoming the official 7th crew member!

I love this as the final glimpse of the Operator. There and gone in a split second, so far away in the background of the field. Nothing grandiose. Just a simple part of the background. Very season 1!

Did not expect the final line of Rosswood to feel so much more impactful than the final line of Marble Hornets. This mini-series was so tightly written and so much better acted overall. Best slow burn I’ve watched in a while! Genuinely had me on edge.

This app icon scared me at a glance.

In The Suffering there are 3 ghosts representing Good, Evil, and Neutral. I really like the introductory cutscene for them all. I’m especially fond of Dr. Killjoy, because I fuck with his aesthetic, appearing as a literal projection from old cameras.

I can NOT believe this only costed me $20!

I only just yesterday heard that there was a Jacob’s Ladder remake, and I was really confused on how I could’ve totally blanked a remake of one of the greatest psychological horror films ever made from my memory. Well…

This one doesn’t get its flowers nowadays. Highly recommend it! Each of the monsters is symbolic of various execution methods, it has an intense industrial soundtrack made from objects you’d find in the actual environments, and a totally naturally integrated morality system.

One more thing also. The drunk was very clearly talking about the infamous tunnel from the original series in his story. I can’t help but wonder if we’ll be seeing it again. His story seems to imply that it shouldn’t even exist. Is the entire structure connected to the Operator somehow?

Another tape on the ground that Alex and Jay don’t notice. Calling it now that whoever recovered all of their footage is going to try to find these tapes.

I see you, fucker! Look very closely on the right. This is a great first Operator sighting; calling back to the more subtle appearances it would make back in season 1 of the original series.

Alex and Jay getting transported several hours ahead was done so smoothly! They’ve still got it! Also Jay coughing. Not a good sign, as we know!
September 4, 2025 at 12:29 AM
Side note: Alex’s shitty documentary logo looks just like the Operator symbol!
September 4, 2025 at 12:25 AM
Some weird noises occurred when they peeked into the tunnel from Entry #60. I also love how Jay acted like he would never go in there when he totally did in another lifetime. He’s not fooling anyone!

Calling back to the moment right before the Operator appeared behind Brian was cute! I was hoping they’d do more callback shots like the playground shot in episode 1!
September 4, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Finding a tape and throwing it away because they don’t have the old cameras anymore is such a hilarious dick move! No bullshitting this time!
September 4, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Alex leading Jay to this creepy-ass tree to use it as a landmark to guide them is a nice callback to the original series. Alex original led Jay there, telling him some local legends, planning to kill him there but ultimately changing his mind.

The blink and you’ll miss it camera glitch when the drunk quotes the Operator imitating his brother’s voice is a nice touch!
September 4, 2025 at 12:06 AM
The drunk guy’s story is a textbook Operator encounter. From the seizures, to the voice imitation, to the memory loss.

A story is told about a boy who escaped the hospital in Rosswood park, never to be seen again. This lines up with a story Tim told in the original. So in this version, Tim vanished completely, so he never spread the Operator sickness to anyone and they got to finish their shitty student film. Ouch!

I can confidently say that this was worth all 110 hours I put into it. Genuinely, both games combined are a once in a lifetime, generational journey.
