We're going to put solar everywhere eventually. Everywhere.
Walkable solar tiles: ‘nominal capacity of 75 W…tiles are made with 8 mm thick safety glass that has an anti-slip surface…able to withstand up to 400 kg/m2…sizes up to 4m x 2m are available’

Nearly 5 point difference. Fascinating. Explained by voters who filled out the top of the ticket, but then didn't even bother to vote in a highly competitive Senate rate.
Also striking about Nevada:

Jackie Rosen got fewer votes than Kamala Harris, but Rosen won the state by 1.7% while Harris lost it by 3.1%.
Nevada is certifying its results. So here is final result in the legislature:

Senate: 13 Dem - 8 GOP (unchanged)
Assembly: 27 Dem - 15 GOP (GOP gains 1)

Dems lose supermajority in lower-chamber, & fall short in bid to gain it in Senate. Remember, the governor is a Republican.

This is what the incoming administration means when they say we're going to have "energy dominance ", right?
The world’s biggest wind and solar project, planned for a remote desert region in Western Australia, has lodged its application for state environmental approvals with a (checks notes) 70GW of wind and solar capacity – as big as the country’s main grid. 🔌💡

Incredible. Truly.
Nuclear is too slow & too expensive to address climate change. China is now producing the capacity equivalent of 350 to 500 nuclear reactors worth of solar panels each *year*. Don’t @ me about capacity factors. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨🔋 #FossilFuelsAreStrandedAssets
My latest Substack:

Solar manufacturers, mainly in China, are now capable of producing 350 to 500 nuclear-reactor’s worth of cheap solar panels per year (1000 GW to 1500 GW).

Yes, per year.

I'm in the camp that solar is just going to eat everything else in time. "It took 68 years to reach the 1-terawatt of installed solar capacity. Then just two years to reach 2-terawatt." Unstoppable.
Global Installed Solar Capacity To Blow Past 2 Terawatts, USA Or Not - CleanTechnica
The installed solar capacity of the global PV industry is poised for another round of rapid growth, with or without an assist from the US.

Gonna try this starter pack thing. Nebraskans, where are you? Who's active? Let me know!

I know this was discussed at length when it appeared, a whole three days ago.

But more people are on Bsky now, and I think the points take on extra weight three days later.

TL;DR media problem even bigger than it seems. Worth a read.
