Amazing how many grammatical errors still get through these days with the software checking that is available - but they still do…and they’re still really irritating.

I think you’ll be very lucky to find anything so organised from that era - war studies fell into disfavour a decade ago and it’s only recently making a strong comeback under @jfb1066.bsky.social - you could also try contacting Dan Whittingham at @unibirmingham.bsky.social

Mine is that I always hyphenate Field-Marshal as that’s the way it was written in the day. You can find a few contemporary examples of unhyphenated usage but these days the trend is to drop the hyphen.
