A lap round Silverstone - easy! Well, probably not with a new knee - but I'm giving it a go on Friday 12th September.

I'm fundraising for Women's Heartbeat. Check out my @JustGiving page and please donate if you can.

Thank you! #JustGiving

Very disappointed with Silverstone Festival - we went specifically to see a large collection of Group C cars, as promised in the advertising and re-emphasised on the Silverstone Events app (“Expect iconic Jaguars, Porsches, Mercedes”) - none of the above marques were there #FAIL

For the third time this century the government of the USA is about to get involved in a situation it has not taken the trouble properly to understand, which it thinks it thinks it can quickly resolve by using limited military force.
To learn none of the lessons of Iraq and Afghanistan is criminal.

If you need an example of the financial insanity of the National Health Service - this equipment, not all of it actually used, is going to the skip as the hospital that issued it is not allowed to take it back due to the danger of cross-contamination. #nhs #wesstreeting

A superb day that fully got into the geopolitical situation that Robert Bulwer-Lytton took on in 1876 - and where better to hold it that at his family home, @knebworthhouse.bsky.social. @henrycobbold.bsky.social & @hisbpf.bsky.social were perfect hosts.
This went very well and was great fun, many thanks to Henry Lytton Cobbold, most gracious of hosts, and Robert Lyman, moderator par excellence, and our very engaged audience:

F1 coverage down from 85 pages to 75; only four pages for the Eddie Jordan obituary and the Lawson/Tsunodo switch only gets a mention in the Intro - not really the F1 coverage we used to get from GP Racing. Time to say goodbye @autsport-com.bsky.social #F1 #FormulaOne

This is such horrible news - he was one of the real characters in F1 and was very public about his illness and the fight he was undertaking to try and conquer it. A hero in every sense of the word. RIP #EddieJordan
We're deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Eddie Jordan. His impact will be felt across the motorsport community for generations to come.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this time.

A fantastic graphic that really makes its point very quickly
A graphic presenting each country's share of the global economy. Finding Russia is like finding Waldo & it is in no way a super power. Trump treats Russia like the sun rises & sets over it. It's indicative of some hold they have over him. Trump's traded his country for Trump Tower Moscow & silence.
