Looks like UCF declined to play in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl after Kansas State and Iowa State opted out being next in line since the players already went home for the holidays.

I’m not surprised Alabama is in. But I’m shocked they didn’t even move down.

Texas Tech has been playing football since 1925. This is their first 12-win season ever. This is their first Big 12 conference title ever.
Amazing what filthy, dirty, disgusting oil money can do.

What a terrible call in the North Texas/Tulane game to call a touchdown that’s clearly a fumble and touchback. Also missed a call earlier for fair catch interference, guess the American Conference refs want to ensure a blowout so a team from the conference looks better than they really are.

Fewer than 10,000 breeding pairs of critically endangered African penguins remain. In two key colonies in South Africa, the vast majority of the breeding birds likely starved to death because of a collapse of their food supplies, according to a new study.
What caused a massive die-off of penguins off the South African coast?
There are fewer than 10,000 breeding pairs of African penguins left today.

Insane hire for them getting someone who could’ve been a choice to be Penn State’s coach. Wow.
And it's official, Ohio State OC Brian Hartline will take the USF job:

Bernardo “Bernie” Moreno was born in Colombia to a family who held high-ranking positions in the Colombian government.
Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, just introduced a bill to ban Americans from holding dual citizenship. The bill says that to “preserve the integrity of national citizenship, allegiance to the United States must be undivided.” It’s called the Exclusive Citizenship Act.

Weird move for a guy very loyal as an alumni and just as much with his coaching staff, they were very patient with his first four seasons barely winning while only switching one coordinator whereas Penn State would fire you for losing more than two games one season.
BYU coach Kalani Sitake is the focus of the Penn State coaching search, NBC Sports can confirm. No deal is done at this point. On3, ESPN also on it.

BYU is set to play Texas Tech in the Big 12 title game this weekend.

Golesh will do very good at Auburn, while Silverfield never struck me as standing out in the American as a HC and probably won’t do so well in a lower-tier SEC program.
Dominoes finally starting to fall now that the regular season is done: Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield to Arkansas & USF coach Alex Golesh to Auburn.
