The most welcomed AI feature in the world will be a corporate travel system that automatically itemizes hotel room rates and taxes on expense reports.

Also visible from space is the very small storage shed I built at my house in 1997.

I have no opinion on Tesla inventory, but the “visible from space” hyperbole is outdated. Literally everything is visible from space now.

This prediction aged disappointingly well.

Onto baseball season.
I’m rooting for a Bills vs Commanders Super Bowl, so the smart money is on Chiefs vs Eagles based on my typical rooting track record.

Meta’s moves this week would make a lot of sense as part of concessions it’s making with the new administration as part of a back room deal for them to acquire US TikTok.

Unlikely I know, but…not impossible.

I’m really excited to dig back into this for the first time in years. One of my favorites, and more relevant than ever. #4hourworkweek

If you want to understand why healthcare pricing is horrific, the first thing to know is that our system puts 100% of the credit risk for deductibles, copays and co-insurance on hospitals and doctors. That's insane.

We have turned them into Sub Prime Lenders 🧵

In the NFL, the top teams (those with 4 or fewer losses) are Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Detroit, Minnesota, Philadelphia, and Green Bay. These are mostly small metro areas, spread around the country.

BlueSky feels like Twitter 2009 right now. Basic tools, some fascinating people, good conversations, but it’s a pretty small tribe. Hoping the next few months will see it reach some sort of scale like Twitter 2014.

I love Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. I watched season 1 of both Rings of Power and House of the Dragon and thought they were both meh. I haven’t watched season 2 of either show.

Should I watch one, the other, both, or neither?

I want to go all in on one news site for the next year. Prefer a moderate, balanced tone. Pay for a subscription, get the email newsletters, listen to the podcasts, the whole bit to stay informed. Which site should I do? The Economist? WSJ? The Atlantic? New York Times? Something else?

This week I started a new job as Higher Education Advisor on the sales team at Amazon Web Services. Grateful for the exciting opportunity and the great excuse to get new orange shoes, coming to conferences and campuses and meetings near you (first stop: Miami).
