Covered in layers of sand, solvents and oil while repairing machinery in the vicinity of molten metal. The rest of the time I try to contact strangers with whatever I can use as an antenna, photograph everything and disappear into books.
I had about the same result with the polishing kits. The first time lasted about a year, but subsequent applications rapidly went down to lasting a few weeks and eventually did nothing.

I've tried a couple, but they weren't staying in place well. Safety rated prescription inserts are available for the safety glasses I normally wear, but the manufacturer was a chore to work with and they haven't arrived yet.

The glasses have helped a lot so far, but I don't have a safety rated pair yet so I can't wear them at work or the range which were both of the places where I noticed the astigmatism problem the most. After the last year, I'll take whatever improvements I can get

The things I would do for the return of factory service manuals instead of chat bots (that still carry outrageous subscription fees). Just venting, but that's been the most aggravating iteration of all-things-ai for me lately.

In that moment, recalling 20y/o me in '00, in warehouses that once stood where Amazon offices are today was no longer 'just a few years ago' and I felt every day of that time difference hit all at once

A few years ago while getting a haircut, the barber told me how excited she was about the rave she had tickets for. I don't think I can recall anything else about that day because I couldn't wrap my mind around the idea of a rave that doesn't begin with deciphering a flyer, let alone needing tickets

All of the shots ended up where the salmon were barely discernable from rocks too. Video could have come out alright, but I need to get more familiar with it on that camera for things beyond Zoom/Teams calls.

It certainly lives up to the name, it just has the misfortune of having comparatively large parking lots at trailheads in an area that has seen rapid growth. Ptarmigan Ridge is a treat! I need to get there again. It was both perfect and every kind of wrong for breaking in the new boots I wore.
