I really love brushed alpaca! Especially in combination with lace and structure! Eg. My blooms

Blooms scarf. Dark red melange fluffy shawl, medium length of approx. 1 metre. You only need about 300 m of your favorite spring or summer yarn. A natural fiber content of about 50% ensures that the lace pattern remains nice and open. The shawl is knitted over 294 rows and a maximum of 77 stitches and is perfect for non-elastic materials such as silk, 
cotton, linen or viscose. Alternatively a brushed alpaca also works well for the lace pattern and gives you a feather-light, fluffy feeling on the neck. Blooms scarf. Black scarf in the making, brushed alpaca and lace cotton for an aran weight version of approximately 1.20 metres length Blooms sweater Knitted in brushed alpaca, absolute lightweight. The pattern is available in an incredible 11 sizes, for people with a chest circumference from 80 cm to 146 cm. 
But diversity does not stop here! This pattern comes standard with yoke for normal, short (petite) and tall sizes. 
A short size will never fit well by simply shortening the overall length. This instructions takes that into account, so any chest measurement will work for people under 5’6” as well as for people over 5’7”. I actually add a lot of fluff, once it was mohair-silk, but meanwhile I used up all my mohair fluff in this mega- blanket and switched for my sweaters and accessories to brushed 🦙 alpaca

Very large 15 st blanket where I used up all my remnants of the last 15 Years I used about 6 balls of purple mohair silk I had as a leftover from a knitted dress And I had 2 balls of grinchgreen Mohair - so yeah 👍

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Liv wants to see spooky knits this week. I don't really subscribe to the whole Halloween thing, so didn't think I had anything to offer. Then I remembered my Deep in the Forest Mittens, which do look rather mysterious. Noro Kuryeon Sock for the background, cream alpaca for trees.

Knitted sweater with round yoke. The background of the ypke is lavender, the rest of the sweater is black. The yoke has a motif of flying bats towards a city skyline. More infos for knitters: Twighligt - the violet hour has dawned and the bats are waking up. Hundreds of them set off and fly towards the big city… Round yoke sweater, knitted top down: * 11 sizes (for 78-150cm / 30.5’’ to 59’’ chest * normal, short and long sizes * size inclusive Perfect for spooky October (or all fall and winter). The sweater is designed with an I-cord edging in a loose neck width; Alternatively, a rolled cuff can also be knitted. Huge knitted WW2 exhibition goes on display

Titled The Longest Yarn, the exhibition includes 80 panels, each one metre long, made by 300 volunteers. It features knitted aircraft, soldiers, airmen and other scenes from World War Two in the display at Stoke Minster.

So excited spooky season is here, we’ll see how many times the kids will let me take them out in their new crochet sweaters. I don’t think I’ll get the three for my coworkers done by Tuesday like I wanted to, but soon!!!
