my email to the President Columbia University: "I strongly urge you to begin legal proceedings against President Trump. His punitive measures against Columbia are illegal and must be stopped. If you let him get away with this action, other Universities will be next. Columbia needs to lead the way!".

I am reading history of New York City called "City of Dreams" by Tyler Anbinder. He describes the anti-immigrant hysteria going on in the 1870's, which is similar to the nonsense going on today. Thomas Nast's cartoons depicting Irish immigrants as apes were racist. History repeats itself.
