We all have or own forms of #selfcare. I ended the week doing a thing I was anxious (and then relieved) about, and celebrated by going to Film Forum and watching a long, tense French movie about truckers carrying nitroglycerin over dangerous terrain.

A.C. Newman of The New Pornographers played his classic album “The Slow Wonder” in its entirety at Baby’s All Right. I was the doofus who got there plenty early, thought I had a good vantage point further back, and forgot I was short. (Still awesome.)
