I came onto Bluesky an hour ago, and the first two things I saw were posts providing useful context for understanding the imposition of martial law in South Korea—the exact kind of thing that Twitter used to be so useful for in a developing crisis.

When declaring how "strong" the economy is, the ONLY metric that matters to working class voters is THEIR household cash flow. If THEIR household expenses are going up faster than THEIR take home pay, these voters are gonna revolt. This election was exactly that.

Folks, Twitter died a long time ago. I think some of you are finally coming to grips with that loss now that we’ve found a replacement in Bluesy. Glad to see people moving through their grief.

Best thing about Bluesky is if you accidentally update your feed and a skeet goes off your screen while you were reading it, and you want to find it again, the search function actually works! you can search for the first few words or phrases and find it again!
