It’s official: I’m running for Michigan State Senate!

Republicans won the Ninth by just 700 votes out of 120k cast in 2022. It's the top flip opportunity in Michigan, and absolutely vital for Democrats to retake a trifecta in Lansing.

Just want to be very clear here, no human on this entire planet should ever be considered for a TRILLION dollar pay package.

Not to get lost in the shuffle, locally:

Auburn Hills
Dems flipped another seat, ousting the oldest elected official in Michigan, and bringing their majority to 5-2. (Up from 2-5 just a few years ago!)

Rochester Hills
Dems flipped an at-large seat, cracking the complete GOP hold on the council.
What we know, final edition of the night:
[Now in 3 parts]

—Prop 50 wins
—VA Dems flip Gov, LG, AG
—Dems gain leg seats in VA, NJ, & MS
—Dems defend NJ-Gov
—Dems win NJ+VA trifectas
—Mamdani wins
—PA Dems win state supreme court
—ME anti-mail voting measure loses
—GA Dems flip 2 statewide offices

Finally watched the Mufasa prequel, and… it just could have been so much better if only Disney had gotten Elton John to do the songs instead of Lin-Manuel Miranda.

It physically pains me that Trump and Musk are laying off our expert public servants and replacing them with unreliable MAGAcrats who will absolutely be feeding us economic, security, health, and even frickin weather lies to satisfy his majesty’s fragile whims.

McElroy: Mass deportations ‘incompatible with Catholic doctrine’
“The Catholic Church teaches that a country has the right to control its borders. And our nation’s desire to do that is a legitimate effort,” McElroy said Monday.

I so badly wish all bowls took this kind of care for branding.
New favorite part of the Pop-Tarts Bowl: That they asked for and received permission from the NCAA to put sprinkles on the field.

Over 15 years of working in state legislatures across the country, I've never seen a session this bad. The autopsy of what happened this lame duck will not be kind to Dems (except you Senate, you're great)

Think public transit “doesn’t work” in your city or suburb? If that’s true, it wasn’t a foregone conclusion— it’s because of choices made. Land-use, funding, infrastructure & operational decisions. If u do fundamentals like frequency wrong, it fails.

Make good choices.
