Supporting the revolution for federal democracy in Myanmar
#WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

I love solidarity . books . mutual aid . equity . collective liberation
And of course, our original shop is still open on the other side of ChiangMai + we love to see friendly faces.

We work to support Myanmar artisans, to develop protest art about current issues, and to build economic solidarity between Thai + MM communities.

#MilkTeaAlliance friends -- if you're passing through ChiangMai, do feel free to visit 4Seas Nimman and check out our humble poster exhibit about protests in Myanmar.

It also highlights artisans working to generate livelihood through these hard days. The exhibit will be open thru Nov 6th.

The military regime is not to be trusted, and many large international aid groups will comply with them in order to deliver aid. Many will be left behind, which is why supporting CSOs and grassroots efforts can have a big impact.

A week of fresh new horrors for #Myanmar. These images are from an aid team I work with, currently supporting the Inlay Lake area, where many floating villages were decimated by the earthquake.

Death toll is over 1600 now and expected to rise.

"Some people act like his friends but only because it benefits them. And that's why they defend him: because he lets the rich become even richer."

-excerpt from This is a Dictatorship, a book originally published in Spain in 1977.

It sucks watching your work get tossed. I suppose we're the ones they call "the swamp."

If we are drained, we will continue to fertilize other places. We'll collaborate, we'll feed people, we'll do everything possible to create beauty and peace where we can. Just watch.

I'm one of the many, many people who had a job/project suspended this week by order of the Trump administration.

This order impacts so many vulnerable people who will have basic things like food, and lifesaving medicine ripped away with no notice. And this is a wasteful way to go about it!

Books and history are also the antidote to despair.

I read this graphic novel last year, set in Seattle, based on the story of a Sephardic Jewish man who helped saved many Japanese American properties after these communities were incarcerated.
