Many years ago a friend of my parents was working for them in some sort of admin assistant role until they tried to claim a book she had written while not at work was covered by her contract as a work for hire and she needed to give them royalties. Minor in contrast to the rest, but still a wow!

Living under him as governor I don't think that's right. Mind you, this is not an endorsement of him... He's plenty bad and a bit of a weather vane, but not like what is going on in the UK

If cats count, yes.

Our oldest is Electro and has a rotating set of ranks and last names based on recent hijinx (e.g., Admiral Scrambles, Captain BiteyFace, Ensign Klutzo).

The other ones mostly have short ditties. Tommy-> Tim Tam Tommy Cat

Something like 15+ years ago my spouse and I almost got mugged in San Jose when we there to do research on a skeletal collection. Walking from our hotel to a Quizno's in broad daylight.

Saw them coming, I got us started running into the shop. Cop car pulled up when they were ~10' away

!!

I'm so annoyed I got sick and missed out on my trip to KSC the week before last.

Many years ago when I worked in a garden center we received a shipper/merchandising stand for bamboo fencing. All of the art on it had big enough pixels to make deep-fried memes jealous and it had big ⚠️ symbols with "FPO" all over it.

I'm constantly terrified of doing something similar!

This was a big job and everyone at our company had missed it, as well as like 5 levels of proofing at the city. Over the period of ~8 years. TBF, it was less than a square inch in print. But still!

They miss it ALL the time.

The only thing I know of that we ever sent to print, was a collage on the back of the annual calendar for a city. File was from before I started, we noticed it when we upgraded PCs and the link broke (the link to a FPO image...)

I come from a different space (print design) but I similarly try to make it super obvious, giant red or yellow outlines or Xs, FPO all over the place etc.
Clients still frequently do not notice, kind of amazing.

Best of luck on the insurance side!

My spouse forgot to bring it on our recent trip and ended up missing an entire week. Definitely a big step up in GI/nausea issues vs normal.

Hopefully with only a few days you don't get that

I grew up in the SGV and live in the IE now, I only ever use "LA" with out of state people, and as LA area as a start of an attempt to see how familiar they are and if I need to be more specific.

Yeah, I was a bit annoyed at Franken too. Other than that I really liked it and I was so disappointed it didn't get any more seasons.

I had never heard this part! Then again, when my spouse's sister was convinced she had it I did everything I could to learn and retain as little information about it as possible so

Some months ago we were at my spouse's favorite local jewelry store to take some stuff in for repairs. We ended up spending nearly half an hour there chatting with them because I was wearing a Possible Worlds (indie TTRPG company) shirt and the couple that owns it are huge fans.

Brevity, something he's been sorely lacking, is certainly part of it with this one

We've got practically no tree cover. Ceiling gets up to 110+ in summer. Thankfully, they're high ceilings and with heat rising it isn't too horrible. Painting trim when we first moved in was a nightmare though.
